I am the old thing,
The pants are new
The shirt is borrowed (my son Isak)
The sweater is blue

See? I can behave |
Joy loved my pin and couldn't believe when I told her that it was my daughters scrunchie with one of my pins added. So, here is the proof. Now all I have to do is explain to the 12 year old son why his shirt smells like "Notorious" by Ralph Lauren.......hmmm. It's all for the good of the blog!
We are doing remodeling to the house in preparation for MIL moving in. I have this pretty breakfast area with a lovely door leading to our deck. This is where I let the dogs out every morning. It's on the second story of the house....or should I say W A S. They removed it so they could do some of the work. This was not in my mind at 4 am when the dogs needed to go out. Do you know what it feels like to sleepishly* open the door, turn on the outside lights and ...WHOA!!! There is nothing there. Spouse has since had the builders add a wooden plank across the door to prevent me (or 4 kids or 3 pets) from falling to our deaths on the freshly poured cement waaay below. On the positive side, one of my sons said that the imprint of my body in the concrete would make others think I had died doing something really cool. Uh Huh....
Happy Veterans Day! Now go and try something New!
*"sleepishly" is technically not a real word.
That's Isak's shirt?! I had no idea until I read this! Cool!
ReplyDeleteMaybe some crime tape on the door is in order?
You're funny! Love first picture. And by the way, you don't look a day older than 27!

Very nice! I love the cardi! I should have been more patriotic for today, I guess I wasted my outfit for election day last week!
ReplyDeleteYou should shop your son's closet more often - the shirt looks great on you! Way to work it! :)
ReplyDeleteWell thanks Lise! I must admit, I'm glad to have that 20 years in the Navy behind me though! now I can just enjoy the benefits and retirement checks, and not have to stand duty and mid-watches in the cold anymore! Being a stay at home mom is duty enough! :)
