HAPPY CINCO DE MAYO!!!

Cinco de Mayo—or the fifth of May—commemorates the Mexican army's 1862 victory over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War (1861-1867). A relatively minor holiday in Mexico, in the United States Cinco de Mayo has evolved into a celebration of Mexican culture and heritage, particularly in areas with large Mexican-American populations.

I just like to use it as an excuse to drink Margaritas! Unfortunately, there will be no Margarita drinking for me today. I have to work and tonight, Leah has Honor's Night. Oh, well. My coworker, Laura, did bring in some yummy Mexican layered dip! YUMMY!!! And we'll be having tacos for supper.

Any of you celebrating?

Sombrero: Cherokee, NC. (I know, weird, right?)
White shirt: Ann Taylor Loft clearance
Pin striped capris: Christopher & Banks
Shoes: Payless

Have a fabulous day, y'all! Someone drink a Margarita for me!!

Even Flo got into the spirit with us today!! (But she won't give me my hat back!)

  2. Happy Cinco de mayo from San Antonio!!! Where we do it big!! and NEVER need an excuse to drink Magaritas!!!
In fact, when my daughter was looking for the best place to have her rehearsal dinner, she & her father went all along the Riverwalk and tasted magaritas...then picked the best place!

  5. I am not a big fan of mayo so I don't celebrate the holiday.
