By far, my most favorite costumes of the weekend are always the Steampunkers. They put such detail into their costumes. You can see how much hard work and dedication goes into them. Steampunk is a genre of fiction that is, basically, the Victorian era meets....well, scifi. Lots of corsets, clocks, and goggles. Think anything by Jules Verne, A League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Van Helsing, The Golden Compass, Wild Wild West, Sherlock Holmes. Here are some of my favorite examples from the weekend.

DragonCon has a Steampunk fashion show every year. Go to Flickr and just do a search and look at all the fascinating costumes. You'll be hooked just like me!
