How To Wear Zebra

As promised, I am trying out different looks this week.
For Monday I am looking like an escapee from the zoo,
and wearing earrings that look like they were stolen from CHER (they weren't).

The dress came from Ann Taylor Loft. I never would have worn this in a million years.
So, I bought it.
I paired it with eggplant tights from Banana Republic. But wait, there's more!
The earrings are from the Indian reservation in Cherokee, NC.
I bought them because I couldn't say no to this nice lady. (they have feathers on them)
The jewelry is from Rue21!
I had NEVER been in there before!! So much fun was had there, and Joy and I are even welcome to come back any time. Weird.
The boots are Anne Klein from TJMaxx.
The Hairdressers look when he saw me this morning? Priceless.
Now on to a little lesson. Whenever you buy shoes---try them BOTH on!
I thought I would try something new and buy shoes from Target. I found leopard print, kitten heels and fell in love! However, I only tried one on. When I got home I realized they almost look like two different shoes! *sigh* dagnabbit!

Lesson learned and passed on to you.

So, what do you think? I wasn't sure about what kind of purse to wear. Any suggestions?

  1. The lady that passed the cart and wanted the shoes? Maybe you should have just given them to her.... I'M KIDDING. That would have been mean....

You need a fabulous purple bag. I would bet the B has one!

  2. Oh my word, you look super sexy in that dress! I LOVE it! And quite honestly, I'm a little jealous. I kind of want one. :) I love that you wore eggplant tights with it, that's perfect!

For a purse, I'm boring so I'd go with a plain black one.

I think the leopard shoes are just fine, honestly. I don't think they're supposed to be an exact print match.

  4. Melissa, Thanks so much! I think you are right about the shoes. I looked online and I think they are all a little like that.

  6. ps, it also bugs me if the print isn't a bit more 'similar', so i just go through all the shoes, til i find a pair that is kinda 'equal' :)
then i put them together and let the next lady who isn't as obsessive as me, buy em' ;)
