Back to Work I Go

First of all, thank you for all the warm holiday wishes!! It's nice to know we've made all these new friends doing this blog!

We had a nice surprise Christmas evening-SNOW! I don't even like snow, but I had to admit that it's pretty magical to actually have a white Christmas. That's not something you ever see down here. In fact, it's the first time it's snowed on Christmas, in Georgia,  in almost 120 years!!  I have to tell you, though, the dog was NOT impressed. Poor little Mexican dog HATED it!!  But he sure is cute in his coat that my mama gave him for Christmas. Thank goodness she did!!

Yesterday Lise and I took some of the kids shopping. We had a great time spending our Christmas money!! We'll have lots to show you in the coming weeks. Did you get anything good for Christmas? Ben gave me this beautiful new bracelet.

He did good, huh?

And I bought myself this watch yesterday:
And my parents gave me the wonderful reversible Liz Claiborne fur vest in the picture above.

It was hard coming back to work today! I slept thru the alarm and was running seriously late. This is what happens when you tell your son that you need outfit pics before you go to work. He takes them as you eat breakfast over the stove! Well, at least I have an outfit picture!! Have a great day, y'all!

Really? We're going to take pictures now?

I think my shoes are the most interesting part of this outfit!
And they are from Target!

And now I'm off to try to catch up on y'all's blogs!! It may take me days!!

  11. I love the vest too! I REALLY love the watch were did you find it? I love red and it would go great with half my closet. Too bad we live so far away from each other I'd be tempted to borrow it. Giggles!

Seriously, glad you all had a great holiday and glad you got a bit of snow. This time of year just wouldn't be right without it!

Love the shoes, that Target... you just never know what you will find there.
I think Charlotte's last white Christmas was in 1947.

  13. Lisa, I bought the watch from one of those kiosk vendors in the middle of the mall. I walked up and was looking at a white one and the dude there said, all watched $14.99. Ok. So I pick up the red one, too and he says $12 for the 2nd one. So I said, How about both for $20? And he said, No, no, can't do that. I said Ok and put both down and he said, Wait, wait. How about both for $22? SOLD! The white one is the bigger style like Sandra Bullock wears in The Blind Side.

  17. The loafers are pretty sweet. Not sweet enough for me to handle snow, magical or no. Magic however is hubby's good taste in ice. Yep. He done great.
