Ladies and Gentleman! ELVIS HAS LEFT THE BUILDING!!

We're caught in a trap, I can't walk out, because
I love you too much baby.

Suspicious Minds is always the song I think of when I think of Vegas Elvis. I'm not a huge fan of this Elvis. This is an Elvis ravished by drugs and fame and the vultures that fed off him and his money. This Elvis makes me sad. :(

BUT no Elvis week would be complete without Elvis in a cape. So here's my tribute to him, for his birthday tomorrow. Red cape from Coldwater Creek , white sequins, lots of pearls and the black velvet pants again. Sadly, I just don't have a white jumpsuit.

I am still dealing with seizure puppy and I am just so tired, so please forgive the forced smiles above! I was trying, y'all!

I hope you all have a great weekend!!

  5. If that's not a beautiful and classy interpretation of Elvis' white jumpsuit, I don't know what is. Is that a black scarf? It doesn't come up clearly on my monitor.

  8. Joy, I think so far this is one of my top favorite looks on you! The red cape is fabulous and looks great with your B & W. It also very much goes with Elvis. I hope your weekend goes well and that you and the puppy can get some rest!

  9. Forced smiles sometimes lead to real smiles. Trust me, I've been forcing my fair share of them lately.

That bright red looks fantastic on you! And the red/white/black combo is one of my favorites. You look awesome.

  10. I am so disappointed that you don't have a white sequined jumpsuit in your repertoire! With the 70's looks coming back in style this spring I think you need to splurge! ha ha

Love the ruffled detail on the cape

Hope poor puppy gets better soon.
