Sailing Into Fall (The Nautical Look)

Yes, I know this is a look we usually save for spring. And unfortunately, people usually go overboard. Here is how to set course for a fabulous look! The first thing was this amazing Ralph Lauren shirt. It was love at first sight. In the spring you will find this paired with a much lighter color below. For fall I chose a black skirt, tights (keeps legs warm on cool morning) and some peep-toe wedges. By dressing the bottom half in the same color (and a darker color) the effect is slimming and elongating.
I add the blue and white button-down shirt with waves of ruffles and I am just about done. If I left it at this, it would be a boring look. This is where the red comes in. A pop of it in the belt and red purse takes this from "Oh" to "Oooooh La La"! To bring sunshine to the look I add a splash of gold and pearl (the earrings, bracelet and ring).
I am ready to set sail for success in this outfit!
